Keeping up with ESG Trends, IEI Contributes to Paperless Medical Environment with Medical Panel PCs
In view of the recent EU carbon tax policy, the medical industry is embracing digital transformation and AI precision medical procedures to align with ESG (Environmental, Social, and Governance) corporate sustainability goals. The iTHome Taiwan medical industry CIO survey report shows that the importance of ESG corporate sustainability has increased by 18.9% compared to last year, and more than 64% of hospital CIOs regard being paperless as an important aspect of ESG sustainability, especially in routine record keeping by medical personnel. In 2024, IEI is set to introduce the IASO series, a line of small-sized tablet computers designed to support the evolving needs of medical environments, particularly where space is limited. The IASO series, available in 7-inch and 10-inch sizes, has been certified for medical use and offers a range of features tailored to the specific requirements of healthcare settings.
The IASO-W07A-N6210, a 7-inch all-in-one touch panel PC, is engineered to seamlessly integrate with physiological measurement equipment to collect and consolidate data for upload to hospital systems. Powered by the Intel® Celeron® N6210 processor, this panel PC boasts a 6.5W ultra-low power consumption and a 17% improvement in single-threaded performance compared to its predecessor. With built-in eMMC 32G storage, an M.2 expansion slot, and multi-point touch screen support, medical personnel can operate the device even while wearing multi-layer medical gloves. Its low noise fanless design ensures suitability for the medical environment, making it easy to maintain and clean. Additionally, the inclusion of six USB 3.2 Gen 1 ports and RFID functionality caters to diverse medical equipment requirements, establishing it as the smallest scale medical panel PC available.
The IASO-W10B-N6210, featuring a 10-inch multi-point touch screen, programmable LED light bars and an AI audio analytics system, is designed to facilitate swift responses to emergencies by providing corresponding alarms for different situations. The touch screen incorporates optical bonding, which enhances the display clarity and reduces the weight. The panel pc also has two USB 3.2 Gen 1 ports that support up to 10Gbps data transfer, and an optional PoE functionality that simplifies the cable management.
Additionally, the IASO-W10B-IMX8M, a 10-inch Android-based medical panel PC, is powered by an NXP quad-core processor, featuring 14LPC FinFET and Cortex-A53 cores for improved power efficiency and sustained processing speeds. Similar to the IASO-W10B-N6210, it includes programmable LED light bars and optical bonding within the touch screen, making it adaptable to various medical environment requirements and aiding hospitals during equipment replacement.
These advancements in IEI medical panel PCs not only support the paperless initiatives crucial for ESG sustainability but also offer tailored solutions to enhance data integration, emergency response, and operational efficiency within medical environments.
